Stop #1

Mile 0 (remember to pay attention along the ride-there will be a test at the end!  Pay attention to the *'s on the route below, they designate things that may appear on the test)               

Sign In, Mingle and Pick up your 1st Card at the Powerhouse.  Then Exit out to the North of Powerhouse (turn left) and at Riverside Avenue turn Left again

Continue to 24^th Street (approximately .3 miles - watch out for the dip in the street)
turn Right on 24th Street (highway G14) go over the bridge and continue to Adelaide Road

Mile 2.4 Adelaide Road

Turn Left on Adelaide Road  * (you'll also see a wineries sign) and continue on your adventure

Mile 11.4 Turn left sign reads Templeton State Hwy 46 (smaller sign reads Vineyard Dr.) and continue to

Mile 20.3 Hwy 46 and turn right on 46*

At Mile 28.8* there are two beautiful turnouts on your left.  Well worth the quick stop but be careful when you cross back over the road onto the 46

Mile 37.5 Turn right onto Hwy 1 and continue up the Coast.   You will pass the quaint town of Cambria and then at apprx. Mile 53.5 you will be at the Elephant Seal Lookout Points.  Worth a quick stop to see the Elephant Seals* upclose right next to the highway.  (you will have another chance to stop on your way back)

Be careful when you cross back over the road onto Hwy 1.  Continue up the Coast where you will pass more Elephant Seals, Piedras Blancas Lighthouse* and the spectacular Coastline.

Stop #2

Mile 63.7  Turn Left into Ragged Point

Pick up your 2nd Card.  This would be a good place to get gas, munchies and a pit stop!   Turn right out of the parking lot and head back down the Coast going South.  Spectacular view ahead.

Stop #3

Mile 78.5 Turn right on San Simeon Road.  The Road turns left and you will be at the Historic Landmark, the Sebastian Store* built in 1852 at Mile 78.8.  Pull into the Driveway to pick up your 3rd card.  The Historic Old School is in front of you and if you look East you will see Heart Castle up on the Mountain Top.

Turn right out of the parking lot (backtrack up to the Hwy) turn right on Hwy 1 South back down the Coast. 

If you missed the Elephant Seals on the way up, you have another chance to see them on your right. 

Continue down the Coast, past Cambria and continue to Morro Bay.  You will see the famous Morro Bay Rock* if the weather cooperates.

Mile 107 -  take the Main Street Exit at Morro Bay.  Follow Main St. and continue through the town of Morro Bay - as you exit town you will be entering Morro Beach State Park. 

Stop #4

At

Mile 109.2 turn right into the Marina* for your 4th Card.  The sign reads Bayside Cafe - Marina

Exit and turn right out of the parking lot to

Mile 110.4  - Turn right.   There are no signs at the intersection!  You will be passing the Morro Bay Estuary* on your right.

At

Mile 111.7 Turn Left on Turri Road *and continue to

Mile 116.3 - Los Osos Valley Road - Turn Left.   Continue to

Mile 122.9 - Turn right onto Hwy. 101 South to

Mile 128.8 - Exit at Shell Beach Road.   Turn left at the Stop sign which is Spyglass Road / Mattie Road, go under the Freeway one block to Mattie Road and Turn Right.  Continue to

Stop #5

Mile 130 - Turn left into Mc Lintocks* to pick up your 5th Card, enjoy food, music, .........
